Savannah Sweet is a very early to early maturing short day length F1 hybrid yellow onion with high Pink root resistance (Pt). The bulbs are uniform and have a Granex shape. The scales are golden yellow and smooth. The percentage of medium sized first grade bulbs is high. Savannah Sweet is well suited for early to medium sowings in areas with a high incidence of Pink root. Bulbs produced from transplants or sets are much rounder than direct seeded bulbs. Savannah Sweet is a very high yielder and is ideally suited for sweet onion production. Savannah Sweet is suitable for most soil types.
